The Open Home Foundation has announced
its existence as a home and support resource for free home-automation
projects.
We created the Open Home Foundation to fight for the fundamental
principles of privacy, choice, and sustainability for smart
homes. And every person who lives in one.
Ahead of today, we've transferred over 240 projects, standards,
drivers, and libraries—Home Assistant, ESPHome, Zigpy, Piper,
Improv Wi-Fi, Wyoming, and so many more—to the Open Home
Foundation. This is all about looking into the future. We've done
this to create a bulwark against surveillance capitalism, the risk
of buyout, and open-source projects becoming abandonware. To an
extent, this protection extends even against our future selves—so
that smart home users can continue to benefit for years, if not
decades. No matter what comes.
I can’t find the words to describe what has been happening in palestine in recent months. Before our eyes, one of the most inhumane and tragic episodes that this so-called modern society has ever seen is unfolding. Perpetrated by a militaristic, colonialist state that has been oppressing and killing the palestitian population for over 70 years. An apartheid state that, without shame, considers itself anti-racist and democratic. This massacre is happening under the complicit gaze of all those countries that have always claimed to be bastions of democracy and freedom. The same states that, out of opportunism or to cleanse their blood-stained conscience, have armed and supported this increasingly brutal and racist regime.
For months, israel, with the complicity of almost all western countries, has been killing tens of thousands of palestinian women, men, and children with weapons and starvation, trapped in gaza without a way out. This is a humanitarian catastrophe and an act of ferocious collective punishment that leaves me speechless.
The majority of western governments are complicit in this massacre, either through tacit consent or through active military support to israel (italy is the third largest weapon supplier after usa and germany).
Let’s stop the oppression and extermination of the palestinian people. There will never be peace in this world as long as these injustices and atrocities continue. Freedom and justice for palestine

Passkeys Support
This release delivers the official implementation of Passkeys for KeePassXC! This feature is a year in the making and uses the existing browser integration service to both store and use Passkeys for authentication. A special thank you to Ortham for providing an extremely comprehensive standards, security, and privacy review of our implementation prior to release. If you haven’t heard of Passkeys yet, they are an alternative to passwords that are incredibly secure and privacy preserving. Read more about Passkeys and also read our documentation.
I think the truth is somewhere in the middle... it is somewhere between Sagittarius A* and the Solar System's barycenter. And for the humor impaired I agree that Munroe was referring to the barycenter.
